“Not only was this one of the few fictitious entries, but it was also a particularly unusual story. Gabriela’s creative and forward thinking angle led us along a journey backward through time to find out how things all began for the couple.”
Gabriela Roland is an English Major at UCLA, with a pre-film and television minor. She hails from Bakersfield, California, though hopes to immerse herself in the cutthroat vivacity of the Los Angeles literary and film world. Like everyone else, she wants to make a difference in the world, and hopes to use words to do it. If the life of a starving artist awaits her, then bring on the hunger pains.

“The use of the couple’s mutual love for gouda functions as a wonderful framing device for this sweet and romantic story. Rory’s attention to descriptive details means that the reader is transported along for the duration of this charming first date.”
Rory Nicol is a student at the University of Toronto majoring in Psychology and Religion. He is also studying to become a psychotherapist at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, while maintaining a job as a yoga teacher. While this keeps him quite busy he always makes sure to stop and relax with his Gouda Girl.

Dave Gallant is a Computer Science student at The University of Western Ontario, located in the southernmost tip of Canada. He grew up and was raised in London, Ontario. He enjoys web development and creating user-friendly programs to reduce repetitive stress. He believes that the Internet has even more possibilities to help daily life and to help communities and is looking forward to being involved in the development of the future web.

“Kim’s submission represented one of the most confident writing voices that we saw. She carefully addressed all of the concerns and judgments that people lobby against online dating and responded with a simple answer: love.”
Kim Wall is currently taking business at Grant MacEwan University. The next semester will be her last one and she is really excited for it to be over and to be able to jump into the work world. When she is not at school or working, Kim is spending most of her time snuggling with her many pets and playing video games.
